Closing your account

Closing your account is irreversible. At the moment of confirmation we permanently delete your account and all of its data — issued invoices, credit notes, expense documents, records and VAT returns, as well as all settings. The only exception is the subscription invoices Danito issued to you.

Download whatever you need first. You have to retain the documents you issued under the tax and accounting rules that apply to you. After closure you will no longer have access to them in Danito and we cannot restore them, so download them before you delete the account.

Danito has an obligation of its own for the documents Danito issued — the invoices for your subscription (numbered DAN-year-number). Danito must keep them as their issuer, and closing your account does not end that obligation, so it keeps a copy of them outside your account's data. This covers only the documents themselves and the billing details shown on them (name, company ID, tax ID, address) — nothing you created in Danito is part of this exception. The privacy policy describes this in detail.

Before you close the account

  1. Download the documents you need — individual invoices, credit notes and expense documents as PDFs, and the latest export for your accountant in the format of your accounting program.
  2. If you have an active subscription, there is no need to cancel it separately — when you close the account we automatically end it at the payment gateway.

Steps

  1. Open My account → Closing your account.
  2. To confirm, enter your password and tick the box confirming that you understand the action is irreversible.
  3. Click Permanently delete account.

After confirmation we delete the account and all data apart from the exception above immediately and permanently, end any active subscription at the payment gateway, and send a confirmation of closure to your email. There is no grace period and no possibility of restoring the account.
